Inclusive Family Farm Visits

Inclusive Family Farm Visits

A space to explore, exactly as you are.

We know that traditional family outings can sometimes feel overwhelming. Our Inclusive Family Visits are designed specifically for neurodivergent children and their families, providing a high-interest, low-stress environment where you don’t have to worry about “fitting in.”

  • Sensory-Aware Environment: No loud machinery, no sudden whistles, and plenty of wide-open space. We provide an exclusive one family per farm visit to ensure the interaction is quiet, calm and completely your own.
  • Your Pace, Your Way: There is no set “tour” or rigid schedule. Whether your child wants to spend an hour watching the ducks or five minutes patting a sheep, we follow their lead.
  • Safe Spaces to Reset: If things get a bit much, we have designated “Quiet Zones” away from the animals where families can take a break and regulate.
  • Judgment-Free Zone: Our staff understand neurodiversity. Stimming, vocalising, and unique ways of interacting are all welcomed and celebrated here.

Why Choose an Inclusive Family Visit?

Traditional outings can often feel like a sensory minefield. By removing those barriers, our farm visits allow neurodivergent children and their families to experience:

  • Autistic Joy & Exploration: A “yes” environment where children are free to stim, move, and interact in ways that feel natural to them, leading to genuine moments of happiness.
  • Reduced Sensory Overload: By limiting visitor numbers and removing loud stressors (like machinery or crowds), we create a “sensory sanctuary” that prevents burnout and meltdowns.
  • Strengthened Family Bonds: Families can connect without the pressure of public judgment. Siblings often bond through shared animal experiences, moving away from “carer” roles into being playmates.
  • Natural Emotional Regulation: The gentle, non-verbal presence of animals acts as a biological “anchor,” naturally lowering cortisol levels and providing a sense of calm that verbal instructions cannot reach.
  • Confidence Through Autonomy: Because there is no set schedule, children gain a sense of agency by choosing which animals to visit, building self-esteem in a pressure-free setting.

Who Are Our Family Visits For?

Our inclusive visits are designed for families who need a different kind of day out—one where you don’t have to explain yourself, and your child’s needs are already the priority. This is the perfect space for:

  • Neurodivergent Children & Young People: Specifically tailored for those with Autism, ADHD, or Sensory Processing Sensitivities who may find typical tourist farms too loud, crowded, or unpredictable.
  • Parents & Carers Seeking “Judgment-Free” Space: For families who want a day out where stimming, vocalising, and unique ways of playing are completely understood and supported by everyone on site.
  • Siblings of Neurodivergent Children: A rare opportunity for siblings to enjoy a shared activity together in a safe environment, without the stress of managing potential meltdowns or public crowds.
  • Home-Educating Families: For those looking for a quiet, high-interest outdoor environment that offers “stealth learning” about animals and nature in a low-pressure, child-led way.
  • Anyone else: Designed for families who prefer private trails to crowded paths. If you’re the kind of visitor who values undivided space and a calm atmosphere, you’ve found your place.
