About us
Where Partnership Meets Purpose
At Farmer Equine Interactions, we believe that true healing and growth happen when there is a mutual, respectful connection between humans and animals. Our approach to Animal Assisted Interaction is rooted in the belief that animals are not tools, but partners with their own agency, feelings, and choice.
Our Philosophy: The Power of Choice
The most impactful therapeutic moments occur when they are mutually voluntary. We never force our animals to interact; instead, we invite them to be active participants. By respecting their right to opt-in or out of a session, we create a safe, authentic environment where clients can experience genuine connection and trust

Meet Kim Farmer
Kim Farmer’s approach to healing is rooted in the belief that the most profound growth happens in the quiet, away from the noise of the world. As a Level 4 qualified Equine Facilitator, trained by the industry-leading Athena Herd Foundation, Kim provides a sanctuary for those who seek a calmer path to recovery.
Kim’s journey into equine facilitation was born from both a lifelong love of animals and a personal need for restoration. Having spent years in a dedicated nursing career supporting individuals through trauma and chronic illness, she faced her own greatest challenge while working on the ICU frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The intense mental trauma and depression following that period were life-changing. It was through the intuitive presence of Obe, her horse, that Kim found her own way back to peace. This personal healing was further reinforced at home, where she witnessed firsthand how animals helped her adopted child regulate emotional development and heal through a deep, non-verbal connection.
A Professional Grounded in Compassion
Kim brings a rare depth of clinical experience to her sessions. Her nursing background, combined with her ongoing work supporting neurodiverse adults and children, allows her to facilitate experiences that are:
- Professionally Grounded: Backed by high-level certification and nursing insight.
- Sensory-Sensitive: Specifically designed for families and individuals who find busy, crowded environments overwhelming.
- Deeply Compassionate: Guided by someone who understands exactly what it feels like to navigate life-changing transitions.
Today, Kim uses her farm and her herd to offer that same “low-pressure” healing to others—creating a space where you don’t have to explain your struggles, you just have to be present
